Missing Variables when I Import CVS Data to Tableau Public [Data]

Or, about Tableau Public's CVS data import limitations.

The missing variable issue has been bothering me for a while. I finally spent the time to figure this out. It seems with CVS and XLSX files, Tableau Public can only import the first 255 variables. I assume this has to do with the importing engine it uses.

I did not test this on Microsoft Access files, but I suspect the issue will persist.
