Another Data Point: “Microsoft Office 2007 Configuration Runs with Each Start”

I have issues with Microsoft Word 2007 where the following pops up each time I run the program:

The following suggestion at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2007-office_install/windows-installer-with-office-2007/bc19ff6e-9796-400c-a1ee-4c6f7e753143 works for me(see “Srinivasu Guntimadugu replied on April 6, 2010).

All I did was:

Press Windows key + R, in the Run Window, type …

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Options /v NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1

Many posts I find suggest running the program (Microsoft Word in my case) once with administrator's rights (i.e., “Run as administrator”). That did *not* work for me. Note his post includes registry keys changes for Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint as well.
